The Aussie food was great (vegemite?) as were the awards and tennis.

The Paly-NY featured competitive tennis, warm weather, interesting conversation, good food, and lasting memories on Sunday (8/28). Congrats to MXD Winners Marla K and Brian M, and Finalists Karen C and Gavin W;  and Mens Singles Winner Adrian and Finalist Abeezer.  Every entrant received a Palo Alto Tennis Club's "City Slam Series" T-shirt.  Food was tasty pastrami sandwiches, bagels and more.  Thanks to all helpers and participants.

Draw sheets for the Paly-NY 8/28/16 are now posted on website.

It was overcast early, then more and more sun shone until perfect tennis weather arrived at about the third and final rounds.  All players played three rounds.  There were consolation and double-consolation flights. There were 22 players plus 3 "meals-only", for a total of 25. We finished by about noon.  The British pub food was popular, especially the organic scones, bangers and tea sandwiches.  A good time was had by all. Volunteers helped to set up, man the tables, and clean up.

Join us for snacks, conversation and tennis club networking right after our Sunday drop in. Please register to let us know how many club members to expect.

Turnout was fine 16#, we also featured a "Challenge Court" event.

Players who didn't sign up for the tournament could still enjoy our event ! - By challenging on to the "Challenge Court" #6, where the winner remains on the court. First to 4 games is the winner. More than five additional players participated on the challenge court - who otherwise would not have been able to play during the event (Sgls and Dbls).
